The two flagship programs of the FGU are implemented with Tbilisi State University and the Georgian Technical University. The Georgian partners have been chosen for the FGU thanks to their strong experience in international cooperation. Both universities have notably a long history of cooperation with French Universities notably in the framework of Erasmus +.

GTU is involved in Eramsus Plus program since 2015 with high-class European Universities like Politechnico Milano, Poznan University, Rennes 1 University, Montpellier SupAgro etc. some of their programs are already taught in English, including their program of Master in Viticulture and Oenology where French professors from Montpellier already give lectures. Thanks to this successful experience, the universities have decided to upgrade their cooperation and make the students benefits of a double-degree program between GTU and Montpellier SupAgro. This experience has also encouraged the Rennes 1 University to implement a brand new specialization in food technologies for the transformation of milk products, a sector that needs skilled workforce now.

The TSU has also an impressive experience of international cooperation since its creation 100 years ago. Its historical status has made the university the most renown Georgian University abroad and the first to be ranked in the Times Higher Education ranking. The TSU implemented since more than a decade a double-degree bachelor program with the Paris 8 University.
